I read this yesterday and really enjoyed it. I'd never heard the water horse myth before. The only weird thing, and this was me and how I read, was the actual term for the water horses. It was in Gaelic, I think, and once it was pronounced by a character, I kept catching myself trying to say it in my head as I read the words. And I'd forget when I went to make dinner or whatever, and then I'd catch myself reading, trying to remember how to pronounce it. I should have just read the words and not ever figured out how to pronounceit...
